Soup Krim Jagung (Creamy Corn Soup)




In Indonesian & English (the English version is below the recipe written in Indonesian)

Bahan

  • 250 gr Fillet ayam, 200 ml Krim, 1 Daun bawang-iris, Peterseli cincang
  • 70 gr Sosis-iris2, 25 gr Mentega, 50 ml Susu evaporated, 500 ml Kaldu
  • ½ Bawang bombay-cincang, 2 Bawang merah & 2 Bawang putih-haluskan
  • 450 gr Jagung manis-rebus & sisir, 1 st Lada bubuk, ½ st Pala bubuk
  • 2 Daun salam, 1 st Thyme, 1 st Garam, 1 sm Terigu

Cara membuat
  • Potong2 ayam bentuk dadu. Blender ½ bagian jagung dengan krim+susu evaporated. Tumis bawang2. Sisihkan semua.
  • Didihkan kaldu di panci. Masukkan thyme & daun salam, masak hingga bumbu meresap (± 5 menit). Buang semua daun. Masukkan tumisan & jagung ke kaldu. Kecilkan api.
  • Panaskan mentega di pan, masukkan terigu, aduk hingga halus lalu tuang masuk ke kaldu. Masak & aduk hingga larut.
  • Masukkan ayam, sosis, garam, lada, pala, masak hingga matang & bumbu meresap. Beri daun bawang, masak sebentar lalu angkat

Ingredients
  • 250 gr Chicken fillet, 1 Green onion-sliced, 50 ml Evaporated Milk
  • 70 gr Sausages-sliced, 1 tsp Salt, 500 ml Broth, 25 gr Butter
  • 450 gr Sweet corns, 1 tsp ground Pepper, ½ tsp ground Nutmeg
  • chopped Parsley, 2 Shallots & 2 Garlic cloves-grind, 1 tbsp Flour
  • ½ Onion-chopped, 200 ml Cream, 1 tsp Thyme, 2 Bay leaves

Directions
  • Dice chicken fillet. Boil the corn; cut the kernels off the corn. Blend ½ parts of corn kernels, cream & milk with an electronic blender until smooth. Sauté ground spices. Set all aside.
  • In a pot, boil the broth. Put in thyme, green onion & bay leaves. Cook until the flavor blended (~ 5 minutes). Discard thyme & bay leaves. Add sautéed spices & corn into the broth & then reduce the heat.
  • Heat butter in a pan; whisk in flour & mix it until smooth (no lumps). Pour it into the broth pot. Cook & stir constantly until it incorporated.
  • Add in chicken & sausages; season with salt, pepper & nutmeg. Cook until the flavor blended & chicken cooked. Stir in green onion; cook just for awhile. Remove from the heat.
