Bahan
- 450 gr Beras, 2 sm Bumbu kari bubuk, 8 cm Kayu manis
- 3 Bawang putih & 4 Bawang merah-haluskan, 4 Cengkeh
- 2 sm Cabai bubuk, 3 Tomat-potong kecil, 2 st Air asam
- 1½ st Lada hitam bubuk, 20-30 Kacang mede goreng
- 1½ sm Jintan-sangrai, 1½ st Kaldu ayam bubuk
- Air & Garam secukupnya, 3 sm Minyak samin/Mentega
Cara membuat
- Masak beras dengan kaldu, cengkeh, kayu manis, 2 st minyak samin, garam & air secukupnya di rice cooker. Aduk nasi matang sampai uapnya hilang. Buang kayu manis & cengkehnya.
- Tumis bawang merah & putih dengan sisa minyak samin. Beri lada, jintan, bumbu kari & cabai bubuk. Setelah harum, masukkan air asam & tomat, masak hingga tomat empuk.
- Masukkan nasi & aduk hingga tercampur rata dengan bumbu. Cicipi, tambahi garam bila perlu. Taburi dengan kacang mede sebelum dihidangkan.
- Sajikan Nasi Curry dengan hidangan pendamping, misalnya (klik pada link untuk melihat resep2nya): Ayam Tandoori atau Ayam Madras Pakistan.
Ingredients
- 450 gr Rice, 2 tbsp Curry powder, 8 cm Cinnamon
- 1½ tsp Chicken broth powder, 20-30 fried Cashew
- 2 tbsp Chili powder, 3 Tomatoes-small cut, Water,
- 1½ tsp ground Black Pepper, 2 st Tamarind juice
- 1½ tbsp Cumin-toasted, 3 tbsp Ghee/Butter
- 4 Shallots & 3 Garlic cloves-grind, 4 Cloves Salt
Directions
- Cook rice with chicken broth, cloves, cinnamon, 2 tsp of Ghee, salt & enough water in a rice cooker. Stir cooked rice until the steam evaporates. Discard cinnamon & cloves.
- Sauté ground shallot & garlic with the rest of Ghee. Add in black pepper, cumin, curry powder & chili powder. Once the spices smells good, put in tomatoes & tamarind juice. Cook until the tomato soften.
- Put in steamed rice & stir to combine it well with the seasoning. Taste & add some salt if it's necessary. Sprinkle with cashew over the rice before serving.
